This treatment is not recommended for patients with active skin infections, blood disorders, or pregnancy. Schedule a consultation to discuss your concerns and goals, and we will customize a plan to your individual needs.
What to Expect
Your appointment takes about 60 minutes. Here is what happens at each step:
Blood Draw: Your nurse draws a small blood sample, similar to a routine lab draw.
Centrifuge Processing: The sample spins in a centrifuge for about 10 minutes, separating your concentrated growth factors from the rest of your blood.
Numbing: A numbing cream is applied to your face so the microneedling portion feels comfortable.
Treatment Application: Your nurse uses the SkinPen to create micro-channels while the serum is applied topically. Growth factors absorb deep into the tissue for lasting rejuvenation.
After Your Appointment: Expect mild redness for one to three days. Most patients return to normal activities within 24 hours.
Pre & Post Care
Before your appointment:
- Avoid retinols and exfoliating acids for five days prior
- Stop blood-thinning supplements 48 hours before
- Arrive with a clean face, free of makeup and skincare products
- If you have a history of cold sores, ask about antiviral medication
After your treatment:
- Do not wash your face for at least six hours
- Skip workouts, saunas, and hot showers for 24 hours
- Apply gentle, hydrating home care products only
- Wear SPF 30 or higher daily during the healing process

PRP treatments deliver natural-looking results by using your body's own growth factors. Most patients see improved texture, reduced fine lines, and a more radiant complexion within four to six weeks. Results continue to improve over two to three months as new collagen forms.
Results from a single session typically last 6 to 12 months. Many patients schedule two to three sessions per year to maintain their radiance and continue stimulating new growth.
Your nurse applies a topical numbing cream before microneedling, so most patients describe the sensation as mild pressure. The blood draw is a quick pinch, similar to a standard lab visit.
Patients with active acne breakouts, open wounds, or blood clotting disorders should wait until cleared by their provider. Pregnant patients should postpone until after delivery.
PRP and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) both come from your blood. PRF contains more white blood cells and fibrin, which creates a slower release of growth factors. Your injector can recommend which option fits your skincare goals during a consultation.
