What to Expect
Your visit begins with a consultation. Your provider will review your skin concerns, discuss your goals, and build a customized treatment plan that addresses your needs.
A topical numbing cream is applied to keep you comfortable. Your provider then uses the Sciton BBL HEROic device to deliver broadband light therapy across targeted areas. The light works to target pigmentation, redness, and signs of aging beneath the surface. Next, your provider uses the Moxi laser to deliver controlled energy to the upper layers of the skin, encouraging new, healthier skin cells to develop.
Sessions typically take 30 to 60 minutes. Most patients experience only slight redness and warmth afterward and can return to normal activities the same day. Over the following days, you may notice darkening of treated spots as the skin naturally exfoliates. For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3 to 4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. Your provider may also suggest maintenance treatments to enhance your results over time.
Pre & Post Care
Before your appointment:
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for two to four weeks before treatment. Discontinue retinoids, exfoliating products, and chemical peels five to seven days before your session. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup or sunscreen. Let your provider know about any medications that may increase light sensitivity.
After your treatment:
Mild warmth and redness are normal and fade within hours. Keep your skincare routine gentle, wear SPF 30+ sunscreen daily, and avoid direct sun while healing. Do not pick at flaking skin as it exfoliates naturally.
