Smooth Lines, Natural Results

About This Treatment

What Is Botox?

Botox is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable made from botulinum toxin. It works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, like forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. The result is smoother, refreshed skin that still looks and moves naturally.

As one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available, Botox is quick, effective, and requires no downtime. At Boujee Nurse, we also offer other neuromodulators like Dysport, Jeuveau, and Letybo so your injector can choose the best option for your aesthetic needs.

What Does BotoxTreat?

Botox is designed for wrinkle reduction by targeting the underlying muscles that cause lines to form over time. Common concerns a Botox injection can address include:

  • Forehead wrinkles and forehead lines
  • Frown lines between the eyebrows (the "11s")
  • Crow's feet around the eyes
  • Eyebrow lifting and shaping
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Lip lines and lip flip
  • Chin dimpling
  • Jaw clenching and TMJ discomfort
  • Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Beyond cosmetic uses, neuromodulator injections can also help with headaches in some patients. During your consultation, your injector will review which targeted areas are right for you.

Ideal Candidates

Am I a Good Candidate?

Botox is a great option for adults who want to smooth fine lines and wrinkles or take a preventative approach to the signs of aging. You may be a good candidate if you:

  • Notice fine lines and wrinkles on your forehead, between your brows, or around your eyes
  • Want to prevent new wrinkles from forming
  • Are looking for a quick, non-surgical treatment with no downtime
  • Have realistic expectations for natural-looking results

Botox is also a popular choice for patients who want to address volume loss and early signs of aging before they become more visible. For patients with deeper concerns, we may recommend pairing Botox with treatments like dermal fillers, Sculptra, or full face balancing to restore volume and create a balanced, youthful look.

Botox is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known allergy to botulinum toxin, or have certain neuromuscular conditions. If you are unsure, schedule a consultation so we can address your concerns and personalize a plan for you.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Your visit starts with a one-on-one consultation. Your nurse injector will assess your facial muscles, discuss your aesthetic goals, and build a customized treatment plan just for you. This is also a great time to ask questions about Botox and Dysport or any other neuromodulator options.

The Botox injection itself takes about 15 to 30 minutes. Your injector uses a small syringe to inject the product into specific injection sites across the areas of the face you want to treat. Most patients describe the sensation as a light pinch. No numbing is needed for most areas, but we can apply a topical if you prefer.

There is no real downtime after your Botox treatment. You can go about the rest of the day as usual. Some patients notice mild redness or a small bruise at the injection site, but this fades within a few hours.

You may start to see changes within a few days, with full results showing in about 10 to 14 days. Patients can enjoy smoother skin and a refreshed, youthful look that typically lasts three to four months.

Care Instructions

Pre & Post Care

Before your appointment:
Take Arnica Montana tablets for three days before your visit to help reduce the chance of bruising. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications like fish oil, aspirin, and ibuprofen. If you take a prescribed medication, check with your prescribing provider before stopping it.

After your treatment:
Avoid extreme heat or cold, strenuous exercise, and NSAIDs for the first 24 hours. Do not massage the treated area, wear tight headgear, or lie face down for at least four hours. This helps the product settle properly and lowers the risk of it moving to undesired areas.

The Boujee Difference

Why Boujee Nurse?

At Boujee Nurse, we are not a big-box medspa. Here is what sets us apart when it comes to expert Botox and injectable care:

Boutique care, not a factory. Our team is intentionally small. You will see the same trusted nurse injectors every visit, not a revolving door of providers. That consistency means better results and a relationship built on trust.

RN-led, MD-supervised. Both of our injection specialists are Registered Nurses. Lead injector Rachel Ross, BSN, RN, CANS, brings over 12 years of experience in aesthetics. Dr. Gregory Buford, a board-certified plastic surgeon with 25 years of experience, serves as Medical Director. You are in expert hands.

Customized, never cookie-cutter. We personalize every treatment plan around your unique goals, anatomy, and budget. We will always be honest about what will work best, and we are not afraid to recommend less when less is the right call. The goal is results that look naturally you, only refreshed.

If you are looking for the best Botox Denver has to offer, we would love to show you the Boujee Nurse difference. Beyond Botox, we also offer SkinPen microneedling, chemical peels, lip filler, and other aesthetic treatments to complement your skincare routine.

Common Questions

BotoxFAQ

Botox is a cosmetic injectable made from a purified form of botulinum toxin. It temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, such as forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow's feet. Botox is FDA-approved, backed by decades of clinical research, and is also used to treat excessive sweating and jaw tension.

Most patients enjoy their Botox results for three to four months. Over time, the treated muscles gradually regain movement and lines may start to return. Regular treatments can help maintain your results and may even help prevent new wrinkles from forming over time. Many of our patients come in every three to four months as part of their overall skincare routine. Consistent Botox treatments can also train the muscles responsible for wrinkles to stay relaxed longer between visits.

Most patients say the injections feel like a small pinch. The needles used are very fine, and each injection takes just a few seconds. If you are sensitive, your injector can apply a topical numbing product before treatment. Overall, most people find the process very comfortable.

Common side effects associated with Botox include mild redness, tenderness, or a small bruise at the injection sites. These typically resolve within a day or two. Headache is another possible but uncommon side effect. Serious side effects are rare when Botox is administered by a trained, qualified injector.

You may notice subtle changes within a few days. Full results typically appear within 10 to 14 days. We recommend a follow-up appointment about two weeks after your first Botox treatment so your injector can evaluate the results and make any needed adjustments.

Not when it is done right. Our nurse injectors use precise dosing and careful placement to smooth fine lines while keeping your natural facial expressions intact. The benefits of Botox are best seen when the focus is on enhancement, not a frozen look. At Boujee Nurse, natural-looking results are always the priority.

This is a question best answered during a one-on-one consultation. Autoimmune conditions like lupus can affect how your body responds to cosmetic injectables, including Botox, Juvederm, Restylane fillers, and other dermal fillers. Your injector will review your medical history to determine if Botox or other treatments are a safe option for you.

Botox is sometimes used in medical settings for certain nerve-related conditions, but its primary cosmetic use is relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. If you have a specific nerve-related concern, we recommend discussing it with your medical provider first. You are also welcome to bring it up during your consultation at Boujee Nurse. Our team will give you honest, personalized guidance based on your health history and goals.
