What to Expect

Here's what you can expect during your PRP hair restoration appointment. The PRP treatment process is simple and can fit into your busy schedule.

Blood Draw
Your visit starts with a blood draw, similar to a routine blood test. A small amount of blood is collected from your arm.

Centrifuge Processing
The sample is then placed in a centrifuge. Using a centrifuge, the platelet-rich plasma is separated from red and white blood cells. This step concentrates the platelets and the growth factors that support PRP hair regrowth.

Injection
Your provider applies a numbing cream to the scalp for comfort. The PRP is then carefully injected into the treatment area where loss may be most noticeable. Most patients describe the process as painless or only mildly uncomfortable.

After Your Appointment
There is virtually no downtime. You may experience some mild tenderness at the injection sites, but most patients return to normal activities within a few hours. Before your appointment:
Make sure your hair and scalp are clean. Avoid using lotions, oils, gels, or styling products on the treatment area.

After your treatment:
