What to Expect
Your visit starts with a consultation where your provider reviews your skin and creates a personalized treatment plan built around your needs.
During the session, your provider cleanses the treatment area and applies a cooling gel. The BBL device then delivers pulsed light energy that deeply heats tissue beneath the surface. This energy tightens the skin while triggering your body’s natural healing response to rebuild collagen over time. Most patients describe the feeling as a warm, pulsing sensation. Sessions typically last 30 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the treated area.
You may notice mild redness immediately after treatment, which typically subsides within a few hours. There is little to no downtime, and most patients return to normal activities immediately. Results develop gradually as your skin heals and new collagen forms. For optimal results, most patients benefit from a series of three to five treatments spaced about four weeks apart.
Pre & Post Care
Before your appointment:
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for two to four weeks before treatment. Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating skincare products five to seven days before your session. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotion, or sunscreen.
After your treatment:
BBL SkinTyte requires little to no downtime. Mild warmth and redness are normal and usually fade within a few hours. Keep your skin moisturized, apply sunscreen daily (SPF 30 or higher), and limit sun exposure until the treated area is fully healed. If you notice blistering or broken skin, contact our office right away.
