What to Expect
Your visit begins with a consultation where your provider reviews your skin concerns and goals. Together, you will create a customized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs.
During the session, your provider cleanses the treatment area and applies a cooling gel. The BBL device then delivers advanced broadband light in quick, targeted pulses of light. Most patients describe the sensation as a warm, gentle snap. Sessions typically last 20 to 30 minutes depending on your skin and the area being treated.
You may notice mild redness for several hours post-treatment. Most patients return to their normal activities immediately. Over the following days, pigmented spots may darken as they rise to the surface and naturally flake away. Optimal results are typically seen after a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
Pre & Post Care
Before your appointment:
Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for two to four weeks before treatment. Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating products five to seven days before your session. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotion, or sunscreen.
After your treatment:
There is little to no downtime with BBL HEROic. Mild warmth and redness are normal and typically fade within a few hours. Keep your skin moisturized, wear SPF 30 or higher daily, and avoid direct sun exposure until fully healed. If you notice blistering or broken skin, contact our office right away.
