The iS Clinical Prodigy Peel is a professional chemical peel system that uses a blend of active acids including salicylic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, and resorcinol to exfoliate dead skin cells and stimulate new cell turnover. It is available in two formulations — the P2 for superficial exfoliation and the Pro P3 for a medium-depth peel — so it can be customized for a variety of concerns and skin types.

The Pro P3 involves more peeling and flaking but delivers more dramatic improvement.

The Prodigy Peel System ranges from superficial to medium-depth. The P2 is a mild peel that most patients tolerate easily, while the Pro P3 is a stronger medium-depth peel. Patients who have used Accutane within the past year should also avoid the Pro P3 system.

During the treatment, your provider applies the peel solution in controlled layers. You may feel a mild tingle or warming sensation as the acids work. The process takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Afterward, expect redness and mild to moderate peeling or flaking over the next three to seven days as your skin renews itself. Most patients see a brighter, smoother complexion within one to two weeks.
