Modern Smoothing for a Fresh Look

About This Treatment

What Is Jeuveau?

Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved injectable treatment made from botulinum toxin type A. Often called "newtox," Jeuveau is the first neuromodulator developed specifically for cosmetic use. It temporarily relaxes the facial muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles, leaving you with smoother, refreshed skin.

Like Botox and Dysport, Jeuveau works by blocking acetylcholine, the chemical signal that tells your facial muscles to flex. The result is softer expression lines and a refreshed facial appearance without a frozen look.

What Does JeuveauTreat?

Jeuveau is FDA approved for treating moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines or the "elevens." It is also used to reduce facial wrinkles in other areas of the face. Common concerns include:

  • Moderate to severe frown lines and deep lines between your brows
  • Forehead lines and creases
  • Crow's feet around the eyes
  • Brow lifting and eyebrow shaping
  • Bunny lines on the nose

During your consultation, your injector will assess which areas match your goals and build a treatment plan around your needs.

Ideal Candidates

Am I a Good Candidate?

Jeuveau is a great choice for adults looking for a non-surgical way to smooth wrinkles and lines and achieve a more youthful appearance. You may be a good candidate if you:

  • Have moderate-to-severe frown lines or creases on your forehead
  • Want to prevent new wrinkles from forming
  • Are looking for a quick injectable treatment with no downtime
  • Prefer natural results that still let your face move freely

This treatment works well for patients who want to target a specific muscle group, like the lines between your brows, without a more involved procedure. It is also a popular Botox alternative for patients who want a newer option.

For deeper concerns or volume loss, we may recommend pairing Jeuveau with dermal fillers, Sculptra, or full face balancing.

Jeuveau is not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an allergy to botulinum toxin, or have certain neuromuscular conditions. If you have concerns, schedule a consultation so we can review your health history.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Your visit begins with a one-on-one consultation. Your nurse injector will review your goals, talk through your options, and create a customized treatment plan tailored to your face.

The injection itself takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Your injector uses a fine needle to inject the product into the muscles that cause your wrinkles and lines. Most patients describe it as a light pinch. No numbing is typically needed, but we can apply a topical.

Treatment duration is quick, and there is no real downtime. Patients report seeing changes within a few days, with full results visible in about 10 to 14 days. Results typically last three to four months, and some patients find that Jeuveau offers long-lasting smoothing with consistent treatments.

Care Instructions

Pre & Post Care

Before your appointment:
Take Arnica Montana tablets for three days before your visit to reduce bruising. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications like fish oil, aspirin, and ibuprofen. If you take prescribed medication, check with your provider before stopping it.

After your medical treatment:
Avoid extreme heat or cold, strenuous exercise, and NSAIDs for the first 24 hours. Do not massage the treated area, wear tight headgear, or lie face down for at least four hours. This helps the product settle and lowers the risk of it migrating to unintended areas.

The Boujee Difference

Why Boujee Nurse?

At Boujee Nurse, we are not a big-box medspa. Here is what sets us apart:

Boutique care, not a factory. Our team is intentionally small. You see the same trusted nurse injectors every visit, not a revolving door of providers. That consistency leads to better results and real trust.

RN-led, MD-supervised. Both injectors are Registered Nurses. Lead injector Rachel Ross, BSN, RN, CANS, brings 12 years of experience. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gregory Buford serves as Medical Director.

Customized, never cookie-cutter. We build every treatment plan around your unique goals, anatomy, and budget. We will always be honest and recommend less when less is the right call. Natural-looking, youthful results are always the priority.

Common Questions

JeuveauFAQ

Jeuveau is injected into the muscles using a fine needle. It blocks the release of acetylcholine at the nerve endings, which prevents the specific muscle from contracting and forming a crease on the skin's surface. The effect is temporary and typically lasts three to four months.

Most patients enjoy results for three to four months. With regular treatments, some find their results last even longer over time as the muscles responsible for wrinkles gradually relax. Your injector will recommend a schedule that works best for you.

Both are botulinum toxin type A products used for smoothing wrinkles. Jeuveau is the first neuromodulator made specifically for cosmetic use, which is why it is often called "newtox." Botox has been around longer and is also used for medical conditions like migraines and hyperhidrosis. Patients typically see similar cosmetic outcomes with both. Your injector can help you decide which is the best fit.

Common side effects include mild redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. These usually resolve within a day or two. Headache is possible but uncommon. Serious side effects like eyelid drooping are rare when administered by a qualified injector. Jeuveau is safe, FDA-approved, and backed by clinical research.

Boujee Nurse offers Jeuveau at both Colorado locations: Denver (The Metlo, 1111 Broadway) and Greenwood Village/DTC (5555 DTC Pkwy). Explore other neurotoxin options with us, including Botox, Dysport, and Letybo.
