What Is Sculptra Body?
Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable formulated with poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that is gradually absorbed by the body. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Sculptra works by stimulating your natural collagen production rather than instantly adding volume.

You may be a good candidate if you want gradual, natural body enhancement without cosmetic surgery. The ideal candidate:
- Is an adult in good overall health
- Wants to add volume and improve contour in the buttocks or hips
- Prefers a non-surgical approach with results that can last up to two years
- Has realistic expectations about gradual improvement
Sculptra may not be right for patients with active infections near the injection sites, a history of keloid scarring, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Our nurses review your full medical history during your consultation to confirm this injectable treatment is safe for you.
What to Expect
Your experience starts with a one-on-one consultation. Your injector performs a skin analysis, evaluates your concerns, and creates a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.
On treatment day, your nurse prepares the injection sites and applies a topical anesthetic to numb the skin for comfort. Sculptra is then injected using precise injection techniques to stimulate new collagen growth in the target areas. Each session takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
You may notice mild redness, swelling, or bruising near the injection sites afterward. These effects are common and resolve within a few days. Sculptra patients are able to return to normal activities right away with minimal downtime. Results appear gradually as your body builds new collagen. Most patients need a series of 3 sessions spaced several weeks apart to see full results. Outcomes may vary.
Pre & Post Care
Before your appointment: Avoid NSAIDs, Ginkgo Biloba, garlic supplements, green tea, flax oil, cod liver oil, and vitamins A and E for one week before treatment. Take Arnica tablets two to three days before to help reduce bruising. Skip alcohol 24 hours before. Avoid irritating skin products like tretinoin, glycolic acid, and benzoyl peroxide for two to three days before and after.
After your treatment: Massage the treated area to support even distribution and collagen production. Follow the 5-5-5 rule: five-minute massages, five times per day, for five days. Then continue five minutes twice daily for six weeks. Use Tylenol for tenderness. Avoid sun exposure, apply SPF, and skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
