What to Expect
Your filler appointment starts with a one-on-one conversation. Your injector assesses your facial anatomy, listens to what you want, and builds a personalized plan around your budget and timeline.
We apply a topical numbing cream about 10 to 15 minutes before the procedure. Most hyaluronic acid filler products also contain lidocaine, so discomfort is minimal.
The process takes 15 to 30 minutes. Your nurse will inject small amounts of dermal filler at precise points to create the shape and volume you discussed. Each placement adds volume exactly where it is needed. You can watch the progress in a mirror.
Some redness, bruising and swelling is normal. Most patients see it resolve within a week. You will notice initial results the same day, with the final look visible in two to four weeks once any swelling goes down.
Pre & Post Care
Before Your Appointment: Start Arnica Montana tablets three to four days before your visit to help reduce bruise risk. Avoid blood thinners like fish oil, aspirin, and ibuprofen. Do not schedule dental work or vaccinations within two weeks of your treatment. If you are prone to cold sores, pretreat with Valtrex or Acyclovir.
After Your Appointment: Continue Arnica and drink extra water. Avoid massaging the treated area. Tenderness is common and typically fades within a few days. Take an antihistamine like Zyrtec to help with swelling. If you experience worsening pain or skin discoloration, call us at (303) 900-8751 right away.

Dermal filler pricing at Boujee Nurse starts at $650 per syringe. Most patients need one to two syringes for their lips. The total cost depends on how much volume you want and the type of filler used. Your injector will walk you through pricing during your free consultation so there are no surprises.
Patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis can often receive dermal filler injections safely, but it depends on your current health and medications. Bring a list of your prescriptions to your consultation. Your injector will review everything and coordinate with your prescribing provider if needed before moving forward.
A half syringe (0.5 mL) of hyaluronic acid filler typically costs less than a full syringe. At Boujee Nurse, we customize each treatment to give you the right amount. Some patients start with 0.5 mL for a subtle enhancement and schedule a follow-up to add more if desired.
Stop using tretinoin and other retinoid products at least three to five days before your appointment. Retinoids increase skin sensitivity and raise the chance of bruising at the injection site. Resume your retinoid routine once swelling and redness have fully resolved. Your injector can give you specific timing guidance during your consultation.
