Chemical Peel

Denver & Greenwood Village, CO

About This Treatment

What Is Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a skin resurfacing treatment that uses acid solutions to exfoliate the top layer of skin. The solution gently removes dead cells and triggers cell turnover, revealing smoother, healthier skin underneath.

Depending on the strength and formula, peels can range from mild superficial options to medium-depth peels that penetrate deeper for more visible improvement.

Boujee Nurse offers chemical peels in Greenwood Village at our location near the Denver Tech Center. We use the Prodigy Peel Pro System, this peel is designed to improve skin texture, tone, and clarity with minimal downtime.

What Does Chemical Peel Treat?

Chemical peels use specialized formulas to address common skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Breakouts and blemish-prone skin
  • Post-breakout scarring and marks
  • Uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation
  • Enlarged pore size
  • Dull complexion lacking radiance
  • Rough texture

Ideal Candidates

Am I a Good Candidate?

Most skin types respond well to chemical peel treatments. You may be a good candidate if you want to enhance your complexion, smooth rough texture, reduce wrinkle visibility, or minimize scarring. During your consultation, your nurse will assess your skin and recommend the right peel strength for your goals.

Chemical peels are not recommended for clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have active cold sores, open wounds, or sunburn. Those with allergies to aspirin or salicylic acid should also consult their provider first.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Your appointment begins with a thorough skin assessment. Your nurse cleanses your skin, then applies the acid peel formula in controlled layers. You may feel a mild tingling or warmth as the peel works to exfoliate the skin surface.

Treatment time is typically 30 to 45 minutes. Mild redness is common right after, and visible peeling usually begins within a few days. Nearly every client notices real improvement in tone, texture, and overall glow within one to two weeks. Results vary based on peel intensity and individual response. For best results, we recommend a series of three sessions spaced four to eight weeks apart. Visit our results page to see what our clients have achieved.

Care Instructions

Pre & Post Care

Before your chemical peel, avoid retinoids, exfoliating products, and waxing for at least one week. Limit sun exposure, and skip any laser or microneedling treatments for two to four weeks prior.

After treatment, gently cleanse your skin and apply the recovery products your nurse recommends. Wear SPF 30 or higher daily and avoid strenuous exercise for five to seven days. Light to moderate peeling is expected for three to seven days as your skin resurfaces and reveals a fresh, radiant layer. For complete care details, visit our pre and post treatment page.

Common Questions

Chemical PeelFAQ

Results can last several weeks to months depending on peel intensity and your skincare routine. Light peels deliver a quick refresh, while deeper peels produce longer-lasting enhancement. Regular treatments help maintain a smooth, youthful glow over time.

Downtime depends on the type of peel. Mild peels typically require minimal downtime, with slight flaking for a day or two. Medium-depth peels may cause moderate visible peeling for three to seven days. Most clients return to daily activities within a week.

Chemical peels are clinically shown to reduce the appearance of acne scars. The peel exfoliates damaged cells and promotes new cell turnover, which can soften scar texture over a series of treatments. For more pronounced scarring, your nurse may also recommend pairing peels with microneedling to enhance your results.

The specific acid formula depends on your skin concern and goals. Common options include glycolic acid, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. Each targets different concerns at varying depths. Your nurse will select the right blend during your consultation.

Boujee Nurse does not currently offer VI Peel. We use the Prodigy Peel Pro System, which our team selected for its ability to deliver long-term skin health and a natural, radiant complexion across a variety of skin types. If you have questions about our peel options, reach out and we will help you find the right fit.

This treatment resurfaces deeper layers for longer-lasting tone and texture correction. A HydraFacial cleanses, extracts, and hydrates with no downtime or peeling. Your nurse can help you choose the treatment that fits your skin type and schedule.
